I have been a photojournalist since 1987.
My first reportages were social stories in the USA, Mexico, Australia, Thailand and in Eastern European countries, before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In the 1990s I was already working for numerous Italian and foreign newspapers and weeklies as a freelance, documenting the fall of communism and thwarted coup in Russia, the war in Balkans sending reportages from Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja.
My footage was published by the most prestigious weekly journals: Time, Stern, Paris Match and Der Spiegel.
In Florence, I was working with the Repubblica and La Nazione newspapers. When rock star David Bowie got married in Florence, I was lucky, I took the only unofficial shots of the ceremony. I got a lot of publications all over the world and not less important, good and unthinkable money.
From this point on, I decided to devote myself to this type of photography and gradually began to add celebrity gossip photos to my production of news reportage.
In 1995, I co-founded the photo agency Focus and over the following 25 years managed to immortalize innumerable national and international celebrities. I became an Italian photojournalist of celebrity gossip……..a paparazzo.
This kind of photography fascinated me because the paparazzo is a free spirit living a free, fun and dispassionate life, in the most exclusive and intriguing vacation destinations in the world, with the constant aim of bringing the best pictures home……. And this is not always easy!!
Now I can boast 30 years of experience in this sector, with an archive of hundreds of personalities immortalized in moments of their lives, their happiest memories.
Visit Portfolio section to peek a synthesis of this career with celebrities photographed in my native city: Florence. Still today, this is what I do and I have decided to make my talent available to those who want to immortalize their happiest, most intimate and enjoyable memories with images that are natural, carefree and unforgettable.
